Senator Scott Wagner To Update York 912 Patriots On the Budget and Pension Fights
2190 Carlisle Rd
19:00 – 21:00
Senator Wagner will update us on the fight to fund the unconstitutional budget of Governor Tom Wolf.   Wolf allowed the budget to become law despite it not being constitutional in providing revenues to pay for the spending in the bill.  All members of the Susquehanna delegation voted against the spending bill.  Now Senate Republicans have caved to union lobbyists and put forth a Yuge, massive tax increase to fund the profligate spending that Wolf requested.  Please resigter for free.  We have limited seating and will use that registration list to screen for attendance in the event of an overflow.  It will also put you on the list to be updated by email.

19:00 – 20:30
Time:    Doors open at 6:30 PM for a 7:00 PM start. When:   Thursday January 12th, 2017 Where: Shiloh Fire Hall,  2190 Carlisle Rd, York, PA 17408 Seating is free. Doors open at 6:30 PM The State of Pennsylvania is bankrupt. The public employee pension system has bankrupted the state because the politicians in Harrisburg, almost all of whom are enrolled in the pension system, will not fix the mess. Our meeting in January will focus on the problem and the critically necessary solutions we need to advance to begin the path back from the abyss. We do have an alternative, we can just let it go bankrupt. We might need to do that if the unions will not realize they too are the victims in the ponzi scheme created by the politicians and the union leadership. Our speaker for the evening is Mr. Joseph Gothie, a local attorney and member of the Central York School Board.    Drawing upon his background in finance, accounting, and tax law as an attorney and business owner, Mr. Gothie will discuss the state of the current pension crisis in Pennsylvania, specifically the direct link between the pension crisis and increases in school property taxes. Mr. Gothie will discuss why the pension crisis is considerably worse than you have been led to believe as well as options to mitigate the crisis going forward. Joe Gothie  is a local attorney with degrees in both law and accounting.  He has a unique ability to explain how we got in this position. Education:  Lehigh University: B.S., Business and Economics (Accounting), 1994.  The Dickinson School of Law of the Pennsylvania State University: J.D., 1997.
